The garden surrounds the cottage on three sides. The entrance gate
leads into a pretty flagged and gravelled area, with small pockets
of flowerbeds and an original granite trough. A further gate leads
into a secluded granite-walled courtyard – a real suntrap – with a
garden seat and a small summerhouse.
The main garden is landscaped with steps, winding
gravel paths and lawns and is a delightful area to sit
and relax or entertain. Lavishly planted, it is a riot of colour in
the summer with plenty of birdlife. The views across the surrounding
countryside and the ancient village church are glorious. |
